Jake/Nog: My sweet boys!!! This pairing has so many of my favorite things-- best friends forever, culture clash, the sweet one and the cynical one, etc.! Really I'd love almost any era for these two - teens with crushes, young adult roomies (they were roommates!!) bickering & having confusing arguments that end in makeouts, during Nog's heavy PTSD arc with Jake feeling helpless, or post-canon when they're older & maybe haven't seen each other in person for a while, with Jake finding his voice as a writer & Nog moving up the ranks in Starfleet-- maybe meeting up on Earth at Jake's grandfather's restaurant, where they could cook for each other? Original Dabo Girl Character: I love that in DS9 we get so many great POVs from non-Federation, non-Starfleet characters & would love to see a story from the POV of a dabo girl. Are there some who were there with Quark through the Cardassian occupation who stuck around when Bajor & the Federation take over, and do people resent them for it? Do the Bajoran and alien dabo girls have rivalries or friendships? Do some actually do sex work & others just do 'girlfriend experience' type hostessing? Are they sending money home to their families or saving up for some dream, like Mardah who went off to school?
- I love Outsider POV stories & would love a Dabo Girl POV story on any canon events/episodes. The Memory Alpha wiki has a great page tracking which dabo girls were present in the bar in different episodes. If you wanted to pick an unnamed (or named, but underexplored) dabo girl and tell her story I'd love it! Random prompts: Dabo girl solidarity against bad customers? Dabo girls and Ferengi waiters conspiring against Quark or working out their union rules? Babysitting Nog? Dabo girl going to temple just to keep her mom happy that she's under the eyes of the Prophets & accidentally having an Orb experience?
- I love Bajoran culture & worldbuilding-- festivals, traditions, special places on Bajor, food, etc? In depth look at Bajoran religion, and how people react to the discovery of the Celestial Temple, a new Emissary, the various political upheavals & rebellions shown throughout the show, the return of the Bajoran Orbs, or any AU branching off from canon. What if the Bajorans had welcomed the Skrreeans, what if Bareil had lived & been elected Kai, what if Jake hadn't authorized Sisko's surgery in "Rapture," what if Mirror Bareil stayed on DS9, what if Dax was the Emissary instead of Sisko, etc.
- Obviously as your story may be set during different wars or occupations, this may get dark & have characters experience loss, violence, families being separated, Bareil dying, the suicide of vedek Yassim, etcetera. As long as the story isn't 100% completely grimdark and hopeless, I am opting IN to all that. Please don't worry that it's "too much" if you want to explore the darker themes of war & occupation, I'm there for it!

Curzon & Jadzia & Ben Sisko: If you can find some way for them to all hang out together that would be super neat-- but I'd also appreciate a story that addresses each relationship separately, or a Ben POV story where he compares the two, maybe set around "Dax"? Curzon POV on young Ben might be fascinating-- what did he see that drew him in to act as a mentor? How does young nerd Jadzia deal with all the wild memories of Curzon & his triumphs & misdeeds? What does she think of Ben from her new perspective? For his part, he really *never* treats her like a stranger-- did they correspond at all before the pilot episode when she showed up on the station? I feel like because Ben reacts in such an understated way, we don't really get a sense of how he felt about such a foundational relationship in his life being altered so dramatically-- from Curzon the rowdy, rule-breaking mad dog/party animal mentor to Jadzia the very young, studious, slightly aloof science nerd/overachiever (who, early on, didn't seem to have much of a wild side!) We know he didn't really allow himself to grieve Jennifer, staying "stuck" in that moment when she died-- was there something similar with Curzon?
- One thing I really didn't like was the "Curzon was obsessed with young Jadzia" reveal because it just seemed so icky and weird, so if you wanted to rewrite "Facets" with some other resolution to that storyline you could definitely do that!

How Much For Just The Planet? - Janet Kagan

- I requested both the gen & shippy version of this pairing because I'd really like *anything* along the spectrum from two nerds bonding intellectually over puzzles to an explicitly romance/sex focused story-- basically no need to worry if it's "not shippy enough," I really just love their banter and their whole dynamic! Two people who discover they have more in common than they might have thought, but also can't forget that they have some major differences as well...
- I always loved that Uhura got to be a cool noir/thriller heroine in this book & have her own romance with a dangerous handsome & charming Klingon stranger... who as it turns out is actually just a ginormous linguistics/communication dork. I love meta-stories & stories about the stories we tell, and I love how Proke and Uhura solve the mystery as much with their knowledge of tropes and narrative as they do with the actual clues. Any expansion or missing scene from canon would be great (there is technically room for an "omg we almost died" sex scene right after they escape from the movie theater death trap!) ... or maybe they meet again years later? Or what if they met under different circumstances, like if Proke was one of the Klingons on K-7 during "The Trouble with Tribbles," which is also a pretty dark & twisty noir/spy story... if you take the tribbles out, ok. :D Also, Proke was very young during the TOS era so it's certainly possible that like Kang, Koloth, etc., he survived to the DS9 era-- I'd love to see him on DS9 meeting any character there, maybe being interviewed by Jake & reminiscing about Uhura perhaps!

I loved this episode of SNW so much!!! Would love to see any kind of expansion on canon, or any kind of AU. What if La'an rescues Jim and there just... ARE two Jim Kirks in history from now on? Or if they'd been permanently stuck in the past together? (Or thrown elsewhere in time, like forward to the TNG/DS9 era?) La'an falling in love and pining but not wanting to push alt!Kirk into a relationship after all the changes he's already been through, losing his entire timeline and having to adjust to a new one? Or maybe the temporal investigations person rescued Kirk so that he didn't die, and alt!Kirk joins the time cops? Or just a fully angsty grief story where La'an sort of pines for her dead Kirk and/or also develops feelings for the Kirk from the current timeline and isn't quite sure who she's pining for? So much lovely pining and angsty possibility here, go wild! :) Seriously, if you want to go with canon and write a story where La'an grieves & mourns privately & can't talk to anyone about her loss-- I would absolutely love to cry about it.

So, I have received lovely stories for this pairing in the past, and I'm gonna keep requesting it even though I'm obviously the only one who wants it! :D So these are two scientists, a married couple, who appear in TNG 6x22 "Suspicions," and I was always fascinated that they just threw in a Human/Vulcan married couple like it was no biggie! Especially considering that Beverly says T'Pan is the director of the Vulcan Science Academy, and also, Dr. Christopher isn't in Starfleet! If you just read the transcript of the episode most of Dr. Christopher's lines are very chill but the actor actually brings a lot of emotion and a little bit of a temper to his performance; not what I'd expect from a Vulcan's husband! Was this not controversial?? Did anyone care? Was this maybe a second marriage for a widowed T'Pan and therefore less scandalous maybe? Or did they meet 30 years ago and Dr. Christopher had to challenge T'Pan's betrothed Amok Time style in order to marry her? Did he and T'Pan and T'Pan's fiance figure out some way around this? Do they have kids? Anyway, presumably whenever they met, it was through work as they are both interested in subspace, but she's clearly the more accomplished and well-known. Also they specifically use the term "legend" in relation to T'Pan's scientific reputation, which makes me think of T'Pring in Amok Time not wanting to be the "consort of a legend," so that's an interesting dynamic too. Anyway, I love Vulcan culture and lore and the complications and compromises of a human/Vulcan relationship, so literally anything about this couple would be great. Bonus suggestion: maybe they come to DS9 at some point to study the wormhole?

Star Trek Crossover Fandom

James T. Kirk/Benjamin Sisko - ok, we all know what THAT LOOK at the end of "Trials & Tribble-ations" means, and IT'S CANON! Any AU where maybe that episode goes differently, with Sisko undercover as a random trader along with Worf and Odo and he runs into Kirk who's just having the WORST day... Or the Defiant ends up at a different part of the timeline, and Kirk & Sisko have to interact to escape some kind of time warp, or maybe Kirk ends up on DS9 somehow? It doesn't have to be fully explicit/resolved, flirting or even mutual interest is fine-- I would just love to see these two powerhouse personalities interacting, turning their charm and their intellect and intensity on each other in some way! (Maybe Kirk ends up on DS9 and they try to keep him in a fakey environment on the holodeck so as not to destroy the timeline by giving him information about the future? IDK.)

Nog & D'Vana Tendi - he could be such a mentor to her! Being a member of a species that people put a lot of stereotypes on, being one of the first in Starfleet, learning that you don't have to erase your past or be ashamed of it-- these two have a lot in common! We know in canon if you're not a Federation citizen you have to have an existing Starfleet officer write you a letter of recommendation in order to get into the Academy. Maybe Nog wrote that letter for Tendi? Maybe she never thought she could be accepted in Starfleet until she met him? Or maybe he was just a mentor/resource for her while she was a cadet? Or, Tendi taking the Kobayashi Maru and getting called before some kind of educational tribunal for whatever she did? Or they could meet at the current point in the timeline as some kind of junior officer mentoring thing? I just want these two perfect cinnamon rolls (who could actually kill you) to interact, please!
